Log A Load for Kids (LAL) is a nationwide giving campaign through which loggers and others in the forest industry contribute to local Children's Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals and organize CMN fundraising events. One hundred percent of all contributions go directly to local hospitals; overhead expenses are contributed separately by the Florida Forestry Association, the Children's Miracle Network, and corporate and private underwriting. There are currently Log A Load campaigns in 30 states, making LAL a major CMN donor.
Since joining LAL in 1995, Florida forestry supporters have pulled together to raise over $1.3 million for Florida's Children Hospitals. Every dollar raised stays in the community and is given directly to the hospital designated by the contributor.
Log a Load gifts room at Sacred Heart
Pediatric patients in Northwest Florida have a new place to receive medical care. A Pediatric Oncology Room has been donated by Log A Load for Kids to enhance the treatment of children with cancer. The Pensacola LAL team, led by Bob Moore, continues to celebrate the financial gifts of area forestry and associated businesses and individuals by working with Sacred Heart to make healthcare affordable and available to all. Hospital President Henry Roberts praised the LAL Committee as a truly amazing group that helps make good things happen in the lives of the children at Sacred Heart.
